2006/07 was a building year for Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation in many ways. Thanks to the generosity of many individuals, businesses, foundations and community groups, an incredible $7.5 million was raised in support of our hospital. This brings the total raised by our Foundation to more than $50 million - an amazing accomplishment given the relatively short history and small size of our organization!

In addition, many preparations were made to initiate the most ambitious fundraising endeavour in our community’s history – the $32 million Partners in Caring Campaign. This landmark fundraising initiative will position Peace Arch Hospital with the strength it needs to truly enhance the quality of health care available to our community through desperately needed program and facility expansion and modernization.

Community support is the hallmark of our success, and this year was no exception. From individual donations to corporate programs like the Save-On Foods “Points for People Program”, and grants provided by vital charitable organizations like TB Vets, the Mr and Mrs P. A. Woodward's Foundation and the White Rock Firefighters, we feel that our fundraising efforts are truly reflected by the spirit of the community.

So it is with heartfelt thanks that we extend our sincere gratitude to all our “Partners in Caring” who so generously continue to give in support of our Foundation year after year. We enjoy working with the many people who offer their assistance of money and time. We are extremely fortunate to have such a far reaching network of supporters. With all of this in place, 2006/07 was indeed a special year from which we are now well poised to move forward with the community backing us to ensure that our hospital has what it needs to deliver the highest standard of care possible for the people of White Rock and South Surrey.
