The Foundation’s mission is to raise “Raise money to enhance quality health care in the community of White Rock/South Surrey." The Foundation is a separate legal entity registered with BC Society and Canada Customs and Revenue Agency. Although hospital operating costs are covered, the government provides only a small percentage for capital needs. Since the beginning of the Foundation, over 46 million dollars has been raised to provide equipment, facilities and services in the hospital. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, chaired by Sandy Wightman, and is supported by a small compliment of staff who all work together to assist the health care team in meeting their mandate.
