Moby Dick Seafood Restaurant's tasty fundraiser going strong in its 10th year.
Moby Dick Seafood Restaurant on Marine Drive in White Rock has been giving back to Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation for the past 10 years! The restaurant donates 5 per cent of one month’s revenue to support Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. This year, the restaurant raised a record $1,793! Look for this tasty fundraiser to return in March 2011.
“It’s great to see the smiling faces of Ralph and Monica Oswald – owners of Moby Dick – as they announced the amount from this year’s campaign.” noted Jane Manning, board chair of Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation. “Local business owners like the Oswald’s take pride in giving back to their hospital and make a direct and lasting impact on the health and wellness of our community.”
The proceeds from Moby Dick’s annual fundraising campaign will go to benefit the Foundation’s $32 million Partners in Caring Campaign, which this year will fund the construction of the hospital’s new, modern and expanded maternity ward and the community’s new Centre for Active Living. Both projects are expected to be completed and fully operational by year’s end.
