How do you say “No” when asked by the Hospital Foundation to help lead this campaign? Like most community residents, we understand that Peace Arch Hospital is the core and the jewel of this community.

This campaign benefits from a superb team in the campaign cabinet, dedicated members of the board and staff of the Hospital Foundation, and health care professionals who work tirelessly on our behalf day in and day out.

The Hospital Foundation and the 400-member strong Auxiliary have long been Partners in Caring, always looking out for the health of our hospital. We are delighted to welcome Fraser Health and the White Rock/South Surrey Foundation into this partnership. They will add to the strength we receive from the support of our thousands of donors, local municipal leadership, and the B.C. Government.

This community has a strong history of believing in and relying on its hospital. We owe a debt of gratitude to the residents who founded the Hospital Auxiliary in 1948, and to the leadership of Hospital Society and the Foundation who secured new land for the hospital over the past 50 years and who twice had the vision to build shelled-in floors to ease the way for later expansion. We also owe a debt to the volunteers and health care professionals who have provided us with the very best in community hospital care.

We invite you now to repay this debt by contributing to the five great causes that are at the heart of the Partners in Caring campaign: completion of the 56-bed expansion on the 5th and 6th floors; addition of a much-needed MRI; further development of our community-based rehab facility; creation of 10 maternity birthing rooms; and enlarging and re-equipping our overtaxed emergency department.

We thank you in advance for your generous support.
